"Not aimed at Dan Bane but State Farm as a whole. I just received a call from Dan Bain stating that State Farm was raising my deductible because I had two claims in 4 years. One claim was a gutter claim that was just under $2000 that they denied. I can't remember the other. I must note that I JUST referred my buddy to State Farm. This guy has five cars a trailer and very nice home sitting on a couple of acres. State Farm did insure him. I've been using State farm for well over thirty, maybe even fourth years. I had to battle them before after telling me that they would only replace a portion of my roof after a hail storm. At at that time every metal vent on my roof on my roof was damaged visibly by hail. BUT at that particular time, I figured that they were going try something rude because they had been body slammed by Texas storms!! In this current racial climate I am not shy about thinking that that too could be an issue. Now some may think that's far from the truth, but my my my, till you have walked a day in a Black person's shoes, don't count it out. Be honest, how many of YOU, get up daily wondering are you going to get a fair shake?? We do it 24/7. Bane and his office have been cool for the most part (had one lil brush) with them that I had to get straight with them some years ago. But this increased deductible after NOT granting the claim in my opinion is bizarre. But im sure typical for insurance carriers. Mega multi trillion dollar biz for sure. **** since posting this I have received several messages from Dan Bane Insurance Agency stating that I was hurting his business. I started my review stating CLEARLY that I had no issue with Dan Bane! BUT this 100% increase in my deductible was funnels through Dan Banes office. He himself called me to tell me that my deductible was being increased. So, I funneled my position back to State Farm through the agent who funneled the increase to me!! Below you will see posted a picture of the increased document. In fact, my last (claim))?) was an inquiry i made asking State Farm if gutters were covered. This after I had already made a gutter corner repair on the east end of the house. When I went to the west end corner, I fell off the ladder due to the incline and decided to give up. The notion of my insurance paying for gutters was given to me by a friend. I called and simply asked are the gutters covered? State Farm stated they would have to come out to take a look and decide. That later turned into State Farm contacting a local business to do the exam. About a week or so later I was informed by State Farm, that the repair would be less that what my deductible is. I stated ok and left it alone. I didn't actually understand that this investigation was going to turn into a CLAIM. Of course I have read numerous complaints about insurance agencies including State Farm. But i had no real issue with them. In fact after making a complaint about a State Farm insurance investigation, State Farm made it right. So this is why I referred my buddy to Dan Bane a few months ago. It was a huge policy. An agreement was made and the deal was done. I was not offered a referral fee.....so I asked. I was told by staff that yes there is a referral fee, but it would be addressed by the Agent. I received a gift card to Starbucks. I gave that to my wife. I don't drink coffee. So Mr. Bane, again I say im not angry with you. Im aware that State Farm lost 6.3 Billion in 2023, but rebounded in 2024 to 5.7 billion. It's all about the money. Here is the thing.....if it was me as that agent, I would have stood up against raising this customers deductible due to my tenure with the company and referring a huge account. Then add to this, these last two (claims?) were NOT PAID OUT! Please don't act as if State Farm has not been under scrutiny before for some bad faith behavior."

"JLAH WAS SIMPLY THE BEST! I switched over to State Farm because i was looking to save money after a huge price increase from my previous company. Jlah not only was able to save me money, but made sure I was setup for the future with a life policy and soon to be home policy. She answered all of my questions perfectly and didn’t need help when I threw her curveballs.
